From Industrial Heritage to a New Vision
The entire area where these buildings stand was previously owned by and served the "Cirio" food industry for the local processing of seafood products. The building subject to intervention was specifically used for salting and storage.
Currently the structure is reduced to a pile of rubble and parts of fixtures, except for the foundation slab. The building was constructed with load-bearing masonry made of tuff stone blocks. The roof, on the other hand, was composed of a metallic load-bearing structure with an overlying covering of cement-asbestos sheets.

Nothing remains of the roof as approximately 5 years ago, the company owning the property proceeded, in accordance with legal requirements, to remove the cement-asbestos coverings present in the area. Naturally, since the area has always remained unguarded, after the collapse, the tuff stone blocks of the fallen masonry, of considerable value, were stolen over the years by unknown persons.

Current state of the historical structures with lighthouse visible
Regarding the system of historical stratification of the settlement organization, it should be specified that on the intervention area there are no signs of the historical stratification of social organization (absence of civic use), but the signs relating to the establishment of an industrial activity are evident from the presence of structures, certainly not of historical value, that testify to its pre-existence.
